Source says grain deal negotiations face dead end

ANKARA, Mar 3 (PRIME) -- The negotiations to prolong the grain deal that expiries on March 18, have hit a deadlock, a source with knowledge of the matter told PRIME on Friday.

"Turkey and the U.N. did not stop the negotiations, by various initiatives, options are put forward,” the source said.

“But there is an impasse, it is not clear whether the initiative will continue, whether guarantees of Russian agricultural products and ammonia access to the international markets will be attained. We need to fix these moments as soon as possible."

Negotiations at the highest level are expected on the issue, the official also said.
